The SQOE Standard
SQOE traces its name back to a Spanish guitar-making lineage - the Esquivel family, who by SQOE's own account have handcrafted guitars since 1883 - and builds its identity today around the backronym "Sound Quality Over Experience." Engineered With Purpose
HSS Earthquake Pickups With A Mini Coil-Split
An SQOE Earthquake HSS set puts a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils in the middle and neck positions, selected with a 5-way switch. A mini coil-split switch turns the bridge humbucker into a single-coil, so you can move from glassy Strat-style cleans and in-between tones to a thicker humbucker lead tone without changing guitars.
Roasted Maple Neck And Fretboard
The neck and fretboard are roasted maple, heat-treated for a caramel colour and a smooth, dry feel. A Slim C profile, 12" radius and 22 medium jumbo frets on a 648mm (25.5") scale make chords comfortable and bends easy, and a double-action truss rod lets you fine-tune neck relief.
Vintage 6-Saddle Tremolo On A Basswood Body
An SQOE single-rocking vintage 6-saddle tremolo gives classic Strat-style vibrato, backed by chrome enclosed die-cast tuners. The light basswood body comes in Ice Flower Purple, a sparkling purple to silver burst, with one volume and two tone knobs within easy reach.
