The SQOE Standard
SQOE traces its name back to a Spanish guitar-making lineage - the Esquivel family, who by SQOE's own account have handcrafted guitars since 1883 - and builds its identity today around the backronym "Sound Quality Over Experience." Guitars sold under the SQOE name are manufactured in China, with a catalog spanning classical, folk, dreadnought, and electric models built for beginner-to-intermediate players who want real tone without a premium price tag. The SETL250 is the starting point of SQOE's TL series, its line of Tele-style electrics that runs from this all-maple single-coil model up to the custom-shop SETL1000FR.
Engineered With Purpose
Two Ceramic Single-Coils, Classic 3-Way Switching
SQOE's S-S pickup set puts a ceramic single-coil at the neck and another at the bridge, wired to one volume, one tone and a 3-way selector: neck alone for warm, round cleans, both together for a glassy in-between sound, and bridge alone for the bright, cutting twang Tele-style guitars are known for.
Canadian Maple Neck And Fretboard
Both the neck and the fretboard are Canadian maple with a matte finish, which feels smooth rather than sticky under the hand. A 305mm (12") radius, 2.4mm jumbo frets in high anti-oxidation nickel and a 42mm nut make chords comfortable and bends easy, and maple adds snap and brightness to every note.
Fixed TL-Style 3-Saddle Bridge
A fixed SQOE TL-style bridge with three saddles anchors the strings with no tremolo to drift out of tune, while chrome-plated sealed tuners at the headstock hold pitch between sessions. It is a simple, dependable setup that suits beginners and players who want to plug in and play.
Gloss Poplar Body In Shell Pink
The single-cutaway Tele-style body is poplar under a high-gloss finish in a soft pastel Shell Pink in a glossy finish, paired with a white pickguard and the maple neck. Poplar keeps the guitar light and comfortable on a strap, and the 648mm (25.5") scale gives the strings the tension and clarity a Tele-style guitar is built around.
