Description
JOYO Tidal Wave
The iconic bass tone of the '90s, in a single stompbox.
Tidal Wave blends your dry bass signal with a cabinet-emulated tone using dedicated Level, Blend, Presence, and Drive controls, then lets you sculpt it further with a sweepable 3-band EQ. A balanced DI output with Ground-Lift and Pad switches makes it stage- and studio-ready straight out of the box.
Why You'll Love It
Vivid Cabinet Simulation
Blend mixes your clean dry signal with a cabinet-emulated tone, while Level, Presence, and Drive shape the character and intensity of that emulated sound. The result is a live-show feel that goes well beyond a simple tone knob.
EQ That Sweeps to Your Instrument
Treble, Middle, and Bass controls offer deep tone coloration, and two shift switches move the center frequencies to match your bass and your mix — Middle between 500Hz and 1kHz, Bass between 40Hz and 80Hz.
Fits Different Music Genres
JOYO built Tidal Wave to be equally at home across Pop, Funk, and Metal — from clean, present low end to a driven, aggressive growl, all from one box on your board.
Start with Blend around the middle to hear both your dry tone and the cab emulation together, then push Drive and Presence to taste — that's the quickest way to find the iconic '90s growl this pedal is built around.

Engineered With Purpose
Built to Hold Seven Controls
At 130 × 110 × 50 mm and 442 g, Tidal Wave is sized to comfortably house 7 controls, 2 shift switches, and 3 output options without feeling cramped.
Ground-Lift Switch
In certain setups, ground loops cause hum from signal interference. The Ground-Lift switch cuts that noise efficiently without needing an external DI box.
DC 9V, Center-Minus
Runs on a standard DC 9V center-negative supply drawing under 100mA — an easy fit on any multi-pedal power supply.
Three LED Modes
Sync ties both side LEDs to the footswitch. Always keeps the side LEDs lit as ambient lighting regardless of footswitch state. Off disables the side LEDs entirely — the top LED still follows the footswitch in every mode.

Three Ways Out
1/4" Output
Standard instrument-level output to run straight into your amp, exactly like any other pedal on your board.
Balanced XLR DI
Send a balanced, noise-resistant signal straight to a mixer or interface — with Ground-Lift and Pad switches on hand for problem stages and hot signals.
Headphone Output
Practice or dial in tones silently, without needing an amp or interface in the room.
Most preamp pedals give you one way to get sound out. Tidal Wave gives you three — amp, front-of-house, and headphones — from the same box, at the same time.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Blend knob do?
It mixes your clean dry signal with the cabinet-emulated tone shaped by Level, Presence, and Drive, so you control exactly how much coloration is added.
What do the Mid Shift and Bass Shift switches do?
They move the center frequency of each EQ band — Middle switches between 500Hz and 1kHz, Bass between 40Hz and 80Hz — so the Treble, Middle, and Bass knobs target the frequencies that matter most for your instrument and mix.
Can I run this straight to a mixing desk?
Yes. The balanced XLR DI output is built for exactly that, with a Ground-Lift switch to cut noise from ground loops and a Pad switch to attenuate a hot signal.
Does it have a headphone output for silent practice?
Yes, there's a dedicated headphone output on the rear panel alongside the input, DI output, and power jack.
What power supply do I need?
A standard DC 9V center-minus adapter, drawing under 100mA — an easy fit on any multi-pedal power supply.
