Description
SQOE SEST610 HSS Electric Guitar - Chameleon
A color-shifting Chameleon finish over SQOE's Roasted Maple HSS platform - the shade changes with the light, the tone changes with the coil-split.
Quick Snapshot
Why You'll Love It
A Stratocaster-style platform built around one standout finish and pickups flexible enough to cover more ground than a standard HSS setup.
A Finish That Moves With the Light
The Chameleon finish shifts shade as the light and viewing angle change, so the same guitar reads differently under stage lighting than it does on a stand at home.
Coil-Split Versatility
The bridge humbucker splits to single-coil via a push-pull tone knob, so the same 5-way switch covers everything from Strat-style quack to full humbucker output.
Vintage Tremolo, Modern Stability
A single-rocking 6-saddle tremolo paired with a bone nut and double-action truss rod keeps tuning stable through regular whammy use.
Meet SQOE
SQOE traces its name back to a Spanish guitar-making lineage - the Esquivel family, who by SQOE's own account have handcrafted guitars since 1883 - and builds its identity today around the backronym "Sound Quality Over Experience." Guitars sold under the SQOE name are manufactured in China, with a catalog spanning classical, folk, dreadnought, and electric models built for beginner-to-intermediate players who want real tone without a premium price tag. The Roasted Maple Series, which the SEST610 belongs to, is SQOE's step-up HSS platform with coil-split electronics and a vintage-style tremolo.
Engineered With Purpose

The Chameleon Finish
Applied over the basswood body under a glossy varnish, the Chameleon finish shifts shade depending on the angle of light hitting it - no two glances look quite the same.

HSS Earthquake Pickups + Coil-Split
One humbucker and two single coils, wired through a 5-way switch with a push-pull coil-split, cover output ranging from bright Strat-style cleans to a fuller humbucker growl.

Roasted Maple Neck & Fretboard
Roasting the maple before shaping it drives out moisture, which gives the neck a naturally drier feel and more stable response to humidity swings than an untreated maple neck.

Vintage-Style 6-Saddle Tremolo
A single-rocking, 6-saddle tremolo bridge over a bone nut and saddle gives classic Strat-style vibrato feel while a double-action truss rod keeps the neck adjustable over time.
