Why You'll Love It
A 40-inch OM-body acoustic with a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a rosewood fingerboard and stainless steel frets, in sunburst matte.
A Solid Spruce Top For Real Acoustic Tone
A solid spruce top over mahogany back and sides gives clear, balanced projection with warm lows - a step up from fully laminated beginner guitars.
Comfortable 40-Inch OM Body
The OM body has a narrow waist that sits comfortably on the leg, so long practice sessions stay relaxed whether you strum or play fingerstyle.
Stainless Steel Frets And Enclosed Tuners
Stainless steel frets with rounded ends resist wear and stay smooth to play on, and chrome die-cast, fully enclosed tuners help the OM40B hold its tuning between sessions.
The SQOE Standard
SQOE traces its name back to a Spanish guitar-making lineage - the Esquivel family, who by SQOE's own account have handcrafted guitars since 1883 - and builds its identity today around the backronym "Sound Quality Over Experience." Guitars sold under the SQOE name are manufactured in China, with a catalog spanning classical, folk, dreadnought, and electric models built for beginner-to-intermediate players who want real tone without a premium price tag. The OM40B belongs to SQOE's solid-top acoustic range, as the non-cutaway OM-body partner to the AC40C.
Engineered With Purpose
Solid Spruce Top, Mahogany Back And Sides
The OM40B pairs a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides. A solid top vibrates more freely than a laminate, giving clear projection and a voice that opens up as you play it in, while mahogany adds warmth to the lows and mids. This one is finished in sunburst matte.
Rosewood Fingerboard And Stainless Steel Frets
A rosewood fingerboard with abalone-look inlays carries round-end stainless steel frets on a 648mm (25.5") scale. The rosewood-veneer headstock with its inlay holds chrome die-cast, fully enclosed tuners for steady tuning.
A 40-Inch OM Body That Is Easy To Hold
The OM (orchestra model) shape is a mid-size body with a narrow waist, smaller and more comfortable on the leg than a full dreadnought. With no cutaway, the OM40B keeps the full body outline. A rosewood bridge, white ABS binding and a red tortoise pickguard finish it off.
