Sapele Top, Back And Sides
The EA31C is sapele all over - top, back and sides. Sapele is a tonewood closely related to mahogany, with a warm, balanced voice and a little extra clarity in the top end, and its fine stripe gives the guitar a rich reddish-brown look under the gloss finish.
A 40-Inch Cutaway Body
The 40-inch body is a touch smaller and more comfortable than a full 41-inch dreadnought, and the cutaway opens up the upper frets for lead lines and higher chord shapes. Cream binding with abalone-look purfling around the top, a multi-ring rosette and a black bridge with white pins finish it off.
Sapele Headstock, Chrome Enclosed Tuners
The headstock face is sapele to match the body. Chrome enclosed tuners keep the gears protected, and the engineered wood fingerboard with dot inlays gives a smooth, even surface.
