The Only Guitar you need to buy

When I first saw the price on Magna Guitars I wondered why would I pay as much as a Fender Squier or even a premium on a relatively unknown brand but one day I had the chance to check out a few Magna guitars at a Mall in Hyderabad and was impressed with the build, finish and the quality of the materials used. Also, saw a lot of positive reviews online for Magna Guitars. I decided to buy Magna but could not make up my mind among the options available on Procraft India. Thankfully Ray from Procraft really helped me with the entire buying journey. At first, I thought a product consultant is only a glorified sales rep but Ray took an interest in what kind of music I like, what I like to play, and so on, and suggested the Telepop Pro and the Just Pro AMp to go with it. Ray helped me understand and interpret the technical details and how those affect the sound. He also sent sound samples when I asked. It's been a month and I am really happy with the decision. I placed the order online on the Procraft website and was eagerly waiting for the delivery. The items were neatly packed with enough protection both the guitar and amp were in immaculate condition but for one minor hiccup -- one of the screws on the guitar body that keeps the switches in place is not placed properly. It is driven into the body at an angle creating a small gap between the metal and wood and small pieces of wood keep chipping out of it. I am a bit disappointed with Procraft as I expected better QC for a premium product such as this. I am hoping this is not a serious issue down the line. The first time I connected the guitar and amp, there was a lot of feedback noise in the signal and I was not able to play anything at all on the guitar. I reached out to Ray again and he patiently suggested various ways to reduce the noise and finally, I was able to significantly reduce the noise by changing the guitar cable. (So not rating the Magna cable provided with the guitar very high) Telepop Pro: This guitar does everything from BB King to Slash and is perfect for an intermediate player with some skills and wants to try out different things to find his sound. The guitar has a lot of character and a lot to offer. I don't have to upgrade for a long time. The Middle pick-up is bright and lively. I find the bridge pick-up way too Twanggy for my liking and I play mostly on the neck pick up which has warm tones (but note that I am yet to explore this more). It is made of Ash Wood which is reserved for only Vintage reissues at major brands and could add to the appeal down the line :) Just Pro Amplifier: This amp has in total 16 different toggles for effects. I thought this is too good to believe at this price ad I was not sure of this amp at all but Ray assured me that it works just fine unless I am looking at doing Professional Gigs (which I am not). I am very pleased with this amp so far. The clean, Crunch, Overdrive 1 (UK sounding) and Overdrive 2 (US sounding) work perfectly. The Metal and Heavy Metal are not so good in my opinion but I am OK with it as I don't play any Metal and with Amps you pretty much get what you pay for. It does not have a Mic input but I was able to connect the Mic via a 3.5 mm jack via the Phone input on this amp. The volume is not loud but works well for a practice session.
