The KZ Standard
KZ (Knowledge Zenith) is a Chinese in-ear monitor specialist founded in 2008 in Dongguan by Keith Yue, a former Audio-Technica engineer, and Zen Li, a Western-trained classical musician. What began as a Taobao storefront in 2010 became a formally promoted brand in 2013, and KZ's breakthrough moment came in 2016, when its ZST model sold 10,000 units in 15 days. The company has since shipped to 128 countries and become one of the most recognized names in budget-to-midrange in-ear monitors, known for packing genuine multi-driver hybrid configurations into affordable earphones rather than relying on a single dynamic driver.
Engineered With Purpose

Four Balanced Armatures, One Dynamic Driver
A 10mm super-linear internal magnetic dynamic driver handles the low end while 4 balanced armature drivers split the mids and highs across a 3-way crossover, so no single driver is stretched past what it's good at.

A Metal Faceplate Built To Vent, Not Just Look Good
The vented metal faceplate isn't purely cosmetic - the slotted design helps manage internal air pressure from the dynamic driver, which affects how controlled the bass feels.

Bass On Your Terms
A 4-level switch adds low-frequency boost in stages and can trim the highs by a level, so the base tuning stays flat and detailed until you decide you want more bass.

Both the ZS10 Pro X and ZS10 Pro 2 pack 1 dynamic driver and 4 balanced armatures into the same lineage, but they're tuned for different listeners: the Pro X leans V-shaped with boosted bass and treble out of the box, while the Pro 2 starts flatter and more detail-focused, then lets you dial in extra bass yourself through its tuning switch.
