Why You'll Love It
A 3-driver all-dynamic in-ear monitor - a 10mm dual-magnetic driver for bass and mids, plus a 6mm dynamic array for the highs - retuned in collaboration with reviewer HBB for a warmer, bassier voice than the original DQ6.

The KZ Standard
KZ (Knowledge Zenith) is a Chinese in-ear monitor specialist founded in 2008 in Dongguan by Keith Yue, a former Audio-Technica engineer, and Zen Li, a Western-trained classical musician. What began as a Taobao storefront in 2010 became a formally promoted brand in 2013, and KZ's breakthrough moment came in 2016, when its ZST model sold 10,000 units in 15 days. The company has since shipped to 128 countries and become one of the most recognized names in budget-to-midrange in-ear monitors - including through collaborations like this one with reviewer HBB, rather than relying solely on in-house tuning.
Engineered With Purpose

A Dual-Magnetic 10mm Driver For Bass And Mids
The dual-magnetic design and PET diamond molecular diaphragm are built to improve electro-acoustic conversion efficiency, per KZ's own materials, for a wider frequency response with more detail retained in the low end.

A Second Driver Array Just For The Highs
Rather than reaching for a balanced armature, KZ uses a paired 6mm dynamic driver array specifically to handle high-frequency range and soundstage, addressing a common weak point of dynamic-only designs.

A Cable Built To Match
A detachable 0.75mm QDC-type 2-pin cable with a gold-plated connector keeps the earphones upgradeable, with an inline microphone available on the with-mic version.

The ZS10 Pro 2 and DQ6S take different routes to a fuller sound: the Pro 2 uses a hybrid dynamic-plus-balanced-armature setup you can adjust yourself with a tuning switch, while the DQ6S sticks to an all-dynamic 3-driver array with a fixed tuning shaped by an outside reviewer collaboration rather than a switch.
