No More Coin Cells
A built-in 3.7V 100mAh lithium battery charges over USB-C from the same cable you use for your phone, a laptop or a power bank. An on-screen battery gauge tells you when to top it up, so it never dies halfway through a set.
Reads the String, Not the Room
A piezo vibration sensor picks up pitch through the headstock instead of a microphone, so loud rehearsal rooms, band practice and live stages do not throw the reading off. JOYO rates it at +/-1 cent accuracy.

Engineered With Purpose
Piezo Vibration Sensing
The JT-480 clips to the headstock and reads the vibration of the string directly, which makes it effectively immune to ambient stage noise. A next-generation detection algorithm tracks your pick attack instantly, and the colour bar graph shows flat in blue, sharp in red and in-tune at centre at a glance.
USB Type-C Rechargeable Battery
Instead of a CR2032 coin cell, the JT-480 has a built-in 3.7V 100mAh lithium battery with a USB Type-C port. JOYO quotes weeks of typical use for casual players and up to 4 hours of continuous tuning per charge for heavy use, and it switches itself off after 10 minutes without a signal to save power.
Four Modes, A0-C8 Range, Adjustable A4
Choose Chromatic (C), Guitar (G), Bass (B) or Ukulele (U) with the M key. The A0-C8 detection range (27.5Hz to 4186.01Hz) covers low B on a 5-string bass up to high harmonics, and A4 calibration adjusts from 430Hz to 450Hz with a double-press reset to standard 440Hz.
Folding Metal Clip With Silicone Pads
A metal clamp with soft silicone pads grips the headstock firmly without slipping or marking the finish, and the display swivels 360 degrees so you can read it standing, sitting or on a dark stage. Folded, the whole tuner is 28 x 52 x 60mm and weighs just 34g.
