The Hex Guitars Standard
Hex Guitars is the South Korean team behind HILS Guitars, its international sister brand. Before building instruments under its own name, Hex spent the early 2000s onward manufacturing guitars for other established brands experience it has since funneled into its own factory in Indonesia, where the travel-friendly BumbleBee series sits alongside Vespera, Hex's flagship acoustic line, in the same in-house build and inspection process. The brand's own stated goal is a genuinely high-end playing experience without a premium-tier price tag.
Engineered With Purpose

A Side Sound Hole, Built For Monitoring
A sound hole mounted in the guitar's side, rather than only the top, lets the player hear their own sound more directly and intuitively while playing useful for on-stage monitoring. Underneath, African sapele back and sides add durability and a warm, soft tone, according to Hex's own product documentation.

A Bumblebee Inlay That Marks The Series
The Indian rosewood fretboard is chosen for a warm tone with solid low-mids, and carries the BumbleBee series' signature bee-shaped inlay at the 3rd fret a small detail unique to this line.

A Neck Shaped For Comfort, Not Just Portability
The Indonesian mahogany neck is dried to minimize future warping and carries the guitar's characteristic warm, soft tone, finished in a rounded "C" profile for a comfortable grip despite the compact body.

BB120S G and BB170S G are Hex's purely acoustic Super Minis, with no onboard electronics. The BB200E M/BT is the plugged-in option in the same travel-size body it trades a Bone nut/saddle for Black PPS and adds a Fishman Presys II preamp, so it can go straight into a PA or amp without a separate DI box.
